Durban’s best kept secret.
The Golden Mile on Durban’s Coastline is a famous destination for joggers, surfers, sunbathers, bikers, water-sports enthusiasts and for those in the mood for a relaxed stroll. In a nut shell, it’s a place to have fun!
The popular ‘mile’ is a 4.5km stretch that extends from Blue Lagoon in the North to Addington Beach in the South next to Durban Harbor. The name stems from the golden sand beaches along the coastal edge of the city.
When sun hit’s the sand, you’ll know what I mean.
The mile boasts a wide promenade pavement that makes it easy to walk, jog, or ride bikes on the route. Or you could join the many surfers, kite boarders, sand castle architects and soak up the warm sun.
